Representative from Keokuk county, was born in Scott county, Iowa, September 2nd, 1892, the son of Rev. and Mrs. S. R. Drake. Moved with his parents to Louisa county where he grew to manhood. Entered a banking business in 1910, in which vocation he has since been continuously engaged in Louisa, Washington and Keokuk counties with the exception of the years 1917 and 1918, during which time he served in the World war. Was married May 28th, 1925, to Francis Lee Chacey of Richland, Iowa. A democrat in politics.
