Representative from Dubuque county, was born in Benton, Wisconsin, in 1876, and has been a resident of Dubuque county since 1896, where he has been a member and officer of many of the local orders. His grandparents were among the earliest pioneers. They immigrated from Ireland in 1826 and settled in LaFayette county, Wisconsin. From 1906 to 1914 he held the office of county recorder. Is a barber by profession and has been in the barber supply business, for 20 years. Married in 1902 to Dorothy Baule and has three children, Carolyn, Aileen, and Helen. Serving first term in the legislature. A democrat.
