Representative from Bremer county, was born in that county, October 17, 1886. Attended rural school and later Wartburg College at Waverly, graduating from its commercial course in 1905. Was teller in bank at Readlyn three years, then entered in the general merchandise business at the same place, later entering grocery business at Waverly, selling it in 1925, and since then he has engaged in several other interests, and at the present time is engaged in the real estate and insurance business. Married in 1908 to Wilhelmina Diekmann, and have one boy, Kenneth. Lutheran in religious faith. Elected to the legislature in 1930 and re-elected in 1932. A democrat.
