Was a student at Illinois State Normal and the University of Illinois. Came to Iowa in 1883 and for fifty years has been a continuous resident of Palo Alto county, working at farming, teaching, banking and in the postal service. For the past eleven years he has resided on a farm near Ruthven, Iowa. Serving second term in the legislature. A democrat.
