He was married on November 7, 1923, to Jennie Linrud of Minneapolis, Minnesota. A member of the Elks, Masons, Mohasson Grotto, Turner Society, and Scott County Sportsman association. Served in forty-fifth extra and forty-sixth general assemblies. A democrat.
