Representative from Grundy county, was born in Denmark, January 1, 1891. Received his early education in the country schools of Denmark. Served apprenticeship as a carpenter and also as a bricklayer. Attended Allberg technical school for three years. Emigrated to Canada in 1914 and to Grundy county, Iowa, in 1915. Started as a general contractor the same year. Married Anna K. Jensen February 26, 1917. Served in the World war. Reengaged in the construction business as a designer and builder of bridges and buildings for all purposes. Has three children, two sons, Bernhard and Edward, and one daughter, Edith. A member of the Lutheran church, past officer of the Masonic lodge and the I.O.O.F and the American Legion. For many years a member of the board of education of the Dike consolidated school and the town council of Dike. Serving first term as representative. A republican.
