Started raising pure bred polled shorthorn cattle in 1908, and has since improved and enlarged the herd. Completed Imogene public school and Christian Brothers' college in St. Joseph, Missouri. Taught school in Fremont county in 1900, 1901 and 1902. Was married to Theresa O'Brien April 20, 1909. They have three children: Matthew, Lucille and Louis. Served in legislature as representative from Fremont county in forty-second, forty-second extra, forty-fourth, forty-fifth, forty-fifth extra and forty-sixth general assemblies. A democrat.
