Representative from Winnebago county, was born on a farm near Lake Mills, Iowa, October 4, 1889. Graduated from Waldorf college at Forest City, Iowa and spent two years teaching school. Lived in North Dakota four years. Was a member of company M, 129th infantry, 33d division, during the World war. Has been engaged principally in farming and mutual insurance since that time. Elected representative in 1934. A republican.
