Representative of Appanoose county, was reared on farm near Dean, Iowa. Graduated from the Moulton high school, and attended Iowa State college at Ames. Served his country during the World war. Was elected in 1928 to the office of clerk of the district court of Appanoose county, and in 1934 to the forty-sixth general assembly. A republican.
