Representative from Delaware county, was born on a farm near North Bend, Nebraska, November 22, 1904, the son of H. J. and Henrietta Gaughen. He was graduated from the North Bend high school and then attended Creighton university at Omaha and later Drake university at Des Moines. He was married in December, 1926, to Miss Roma Miller of Des Moines, and they have one child, Kathryn. He was associated with the General Motors Corporation until 1931, when he entered the banking business in Greeley where he is now in charge of the Citizens State Bank. Serving first term in the legislature. A democrat.
