Representative from Ida county, was born May 17, 1876, at Blue Island, Illinois, and shortly thereafter moved with his parents to Denison, Iowa, and two years later moved into Ida county, where he helped his parents on a farm. At the age of twenty-one he moved for himself on a farm four and one-half miles southwest of Ida Grove, Iowa, where he lived from 1897 to March, 1928, at which time he rented out his farm, moved to Ida Grove and engaged in the insurance business. In October, 1897, he was united in marriage to Mary Burk, and to this union was born three children, two boys and one girl. Mr. Fuester served twelve years as township clerk and six years on county board of supervisors, and in 1932, he was elected to the Iowa legislature. Re-elected in 1934. A democrat.
