Representative from Kossuth county, was born on a farm near West Bend, Iowa, November 20, 1892. He was educated in the schools of this locality and took a two-year normal course at Highland Park college. He taught in the public schools of Iowa three years and completed four years of work at Valparaiso university, Valparaiso, Indiana. In August, 1919, he was married to Miss Charlotte Anderegg. They have one son, Rex. About the time of his marriage Mr. Bonnstetter went back to farming. He has since acquired and is managing a pure bred herd of dairy cattle. An active supporter of farm organizations. He has been serving on the school board for a number of years and is a member of the Masonic order. Elected to state legislature in 1930, 1932 and 1934. A democrat.
