He spent one year in Colorado and five years in Oklahoma, and has visited at different times in many of the other states of the union. Married and has four children, three sons and one daughter. With the exception of one year, has been actively engaged in farming and for the past 19 years has farmed in Keokuk county. Serving third term in legislature. A democrat.
