Oskaloosa. Representative from Mahaska county, was born on a farm near Wright, Iowa, in Mahaska county October 6, 1871. He was educated in Mahaska county public schools, and also attended Penn College and Oskaloosa Business College. Married and has four children. Moved to Illinois in 1896 and returned to Mahaska county in 1898 and has been engaged in farming, stock raising, and feeding since. He is a member of the Baptist church. Serving first term in the legislature. A republican.
