Representative from Humboldt county, was born on a farm in Waucousta township, Humboldt county, Iowa, on August 27, 1882. Educated in country schools, Humboldt high school and Des Moines Baptist college. Received legal education at Drake University. Has practiced law in Humboldt county since February 1908. Married and has five children. Member of the Congregational church. Elected representative in 1936. A republican.
