Representative from Webster county was born at Fort Madison, Iowa, August 28, 1907, and moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, when he was one year old and has lived there continuously since that time. He is a graduate of the Fort Dodge junior college, attended the University of California and graduated from the law school of the University of Iowa in June, 1931. Following graduation he entered into the law practice and in 1934 became a member of the law firm of Price, Rider and Keefe, and is still actively engaged in the law practice in Fort Dodge with the above firm. He was married to Nelly Rae Thompson of Miami, Oklahoma, in 1935 and has one daughter, Judith Ann. He is a member of the Elks, and is affiliated with the Beta Theta Pi, college social fraternity, and the Phi Alpha Delta, honorary legal fraternity. Member of the Catholic church. Serving first term in the legislature. A democrat.
