Ottumwa. Representative from Wapello county, was born near Moulton, Iowa, June 23, 1887. He was educated in the public schools of Moulton, Ottumwa, and Denver, Colorado. Moved to Ottumwa, Iowa with parents in 1895 and to Denver, Colorado in 1898, returning to Iowa in 1901. Since 1913, he has been engaged in train and yard service with the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railway Company. He was married in 1908 to Franc McGraw and to them were born five children; Pat, Helen, Byrne, Charlotte, and Doris. He is a member of various Masonic organizations, the Knights of Pythias, fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He is serving his first term as a member of the legislature. A democrat.
