Representative from Scott county, was born in Davenport, Iowa, August 31, 1908, the son of Frank and Lillian Engel. Received his education in the Davenport schools and studied music under Orville Foster. After receiving his education he engaged in the drug business, and now operates the Northwest Drug Co. and the Northwest Laboratories at Davenport. Unmarried. Member of the Catholic church, Knights of Columbus, junior chamber of commerce, Eastern Iowa Druggists Association, treasurer of the Scott County Young Democratic Club, and associate member of the Iowa Policemen's Association. Serving first term in legislature. A democrat.
