Waukee. Representative from Dallas county, was born on a farm near Chenoa, McLean county, Illinois. He attended country schools in Illinois; moved to Waukee, Dallas county, Iowa, in 1894. Was married March 24, 1904, to Abbie E. Jones, who passed away January 6, 1926. They had two children, Wilma A. and Ralph C. Has been actively engaged in farming and stock feeding since moving to Iowa. Member of the county board of supervisors for two terms. Served as representative in the forty-second extra and forty-sixth, forty-sixth extra and forty-seventh general assemblies. A democrat.
