Representative from Chickasaw county, was born May 5, 1884, on a farm near Lawler, Iowa. He married Miss Margaret C. Lundby of Harlan, Iowa, May 7, 1915. Their family consists of one daughter, Maurine. Mr. Benz spent twenty-eight years in Canton, South Dakota, in the meat business, and for the last eight years has engaged in farming in Chickasaw county, Iowa. He is a member of the Lutheran church and the Masonic lodge. Elected representative in 1934 and 1936. A republican.
