New Hampton Chickasaw County Republican. Born in Chickasaw county, May 31, 1911, son of George J. and Millie Scholz. Attended the University of Iowa, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1932 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1933. Entered the practice of law in New Hampton in 1934. On December 24, 1934 married to Zita Maher. Member of Rotary Club, Alpha Sigma Phi, and civic organizations. Serving first term in the legislature.
