Representative from Ida county, was born in Germany, July 27, 1877, and came to the United States with his parents in 1881, locating in the vicinity of Oxford Junction, Jones county, Iowa. In 1889, he moved with his parents to Morgan township, Woodbury county, Iowa, where he has lived on a farm which he operated and still owns. In 1920, he moved to Battle Creek, Iowa, and has lived there since. He was united in marriage to Magna Martin of New York City in 1900. She died in 1934. Mr. Brodersen has served as township trustee and assessor and for 10 years on the town council. He is a member of the Presbyterian church and is a thirty-second degree mason. Elected representative in 1936. A republican.
