Additional courses at Northwestern University, University of Iowa and Iowa State college. Graduate Chaplain's Training School, Camp Taylor, Ky. World War veteran; enlisted as private, discharged as a captain. A lieutenant-colonel in the Chaplain's Reserve Corps U.S. Army. At present superintendent of Mitchell consolidated schools, pastor Fertile Church of Christ and representative Equitable Life Assurance society of the U.S. Member American Legion, American Farm Bureau Federation and Brotherhood Church of Christ. Serving second term in the legislature. Chairman Military Affairs committee and Advisory Committee fourth congressional district.

A lieutenant-colonel in Reserve Officers Corps. An American Legion member. Prominent public speaker. Married to Bernine Jones of Mitchell. Serving first term in the legislature.
