Fowler of Des Moines; father of one daughter, Doris. Advertising executive for country’s largest department stores in Chicago, Illinois, Portland, Oregon, and Des Moines, Iowa. Five years manager of New York office of the Pauli Publishing Company, Des Moines. Senior partner of Browner’s Food Market, Des Moines, established 1932. Served 18 Regiment Co. G.S.I. Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Member American Legion, Forty-and-Eight, Economic Club, Kiwanis, East Des Moines Club, past president Des Moines Retail Grocers and Meat Dealers Association, director Iowa State Grocers Association, chairman Iowa Preparedness Food Council. Serving first term in legislature.
