Albia Monroe County Republican. Born near Eddyville December 23, 1879, the eldest of eight children born to W. C. and Sarah (Lee) Wilson, of Scotch descent. Married Anna E. Kincaid of Marion county and their daughter, Marion, is an instructor in Lovilia schools. Served as census enumerator in 1910 and again in 1930. Member of the United Brethren church, Masons, Odd Fellows, Farm Bureau, Commercial Club and other organizations. Enjoys singing, does own sign writing and writes poetry as a hobby. Served as county recorder from 1931 to 1941. Was associated seventeen years with E. C. Sloan & Company. Is a licensed real estate broker, conducting his own business. Serving first term.
