Bedford Taylor County Republican. Born in Page county, Iowa, June 27, 1892. Son of E. E. and Eva M. Kuhn. Attended school in Cedar Falls, Lenox and the Bedford high school. Married to Clara Daugherty September 15, 1911. Father of seven children: Mrs. Arthur King, Blockton, Iowa; Mrs. Kenneth Olson, Seattle, Washington; Thos. L., Jr., Seattle, Washington; Kenneth D., U.S. Army; and twin sons, Jim Andy, Bedford, Iowa, and Charles Philip, now deceased; also one daughter who died in infancy. Farmed from 1912 to 1929. Deputy county auditor, Taylor county, 1929-1930. Represented S.F. Baker Company 1931 to October, 1933. Assistant in auditor's office, October, 1933 to January 1, 1935. County Auditor, 1935 to January 1, 1939. Clerk of District Court, 1939 to January 1, 1943. Attends the Presbyterian church. Serving first term.
