Grinnell Poweshiek County Republican Born April 22, 1887, at Blue Grass, Scott County, Iowa. At the age of two years parents moved to Killduff, Iowa, Jasper county. At the age of fourteen moved to a farm south of Grinnell. Received education in public schools of Jasper and Poweshiek counties. Married Susan Lincoln September 10, 1908. Has two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Jones and Mrs. Kenneth Palmer. Moved to Grinnell in 1924 and was manager of Grinnell and Oak Grove Shipping Association until 1930. Served as Mayor of Grinnell for eight years. At present farms and is owner and operator of Grinnell Livestock Exchange. Is a director in the Grinnell Savings and Loan Association. Is a member of the Masonic and Elk Lodge and Kiwanis Club. Serving first term.
