Belmond Wright County Republican Born January 16, 1906, in Beaumont, Texas, the third son of five children of W. C. and Ella C. Tyrrell. His family returned to the Tyrrell farms in Wright county in 1912 to rear and educate their family. Received all elementary education in public schools of Belmond, Iowa. Attended University of Iowa for two years and received degree of Business Administration at University of Colorado at Boulder in 1929. Member of Congregational church, Sigma Chi fraternity and Farm Bureau. Married Catherine Sullivan, September 13, 1930. Have three daughters, Jeanne, age 13, Lynne, age 10, and Frances, age 8. Is land owner and operator. Serving second term.
