Quimby Cherokee County Republican Born on a farm near Danbury, Nebraska, April 29, 1887, son of Soren and Nettie Simonsen. Was graduated from Danbury high school. Received D.V.M. degree from Kansas State College 1912. Was Lieutenant in Veterinary Corps in first World War. Married Elma Dean at Ames, 1916. Have four sons, Dean 27, Doyle 26, Merle 22, Marlo 20; two in service. Has lived in Cherokee county since 1916, engaged in veterinary practice, farming. In 1927 formed a partnership and engaged in operation of rendering plant, soybean mill and feed business at Quimby. Now serving first term in legislature.
