Jackson County Republican Born on a farm June 19, 1905, in Whiteside county, Illinois, the first son of four children of George H., and Mary Meyer. Attended public schools of Whiteside county, Brown's Business College, New York State College and short course in dairy farming, Ohio State University. Formerly a farmer and also connected with the Department of Agriculture, Division of Poultry Husbandry in Illinois for three years and later with New Jersey Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Markets in 1931-32. At present interested in soybean processing plant. Member of Methodist church, Knights of Pythias and Farm Bureau. Married Cecile M. Musgrave January 14, 1926. Has two sons, Lloyd R., age 17, George, age 9, and two daughters, Jean Marie, age 5, Mary Ann, age 3. Served in 50th Special Session; now serving first full term.
