Fort Dodge Webster County Republican Born in Hardin county, Iowa, March 21, 1885, the son of John and Anna Cox. His father was an early Iowa pioneer, born and reared in East Dubuque. For many years he operated a general store there. When ill health forced him to stay out of doors, John Cox purchased a farm in Hardin county and moved his family there. Harry Cox grew to manhood in this community and received his education in the Hardin County public schools. He moved to Webster county in 1912. In 1920 he started in the retail dairy business in which he has been engaged ever since. He is a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Fort Dodge and serves as trustee. He is treasurer of the Fort Dodge Lions club and a member of the Elks Lodge. He has been a member of the Webster County Farm Bureau for many years and township director for the greater part of these years. In 1918 he married Betty Lindholm of Elgin, Illinois, and they have one daughter, Betty Ann. Serving second term.
