Waterloo Black Hawk County Republican Born January 20, 1896, at North Judson, Indiana. Moved to Traer, Iowa, in 1910 and to Waterloo in 1924. Married Faye Ristine in 1917. Two daughters, Evelyn and Joyce. Conducted insurance agency in Waterloo since 1926 and is now senior partner of Tesmer & Street, general insurance agency. Served in World War I and in Iowa State Guard. Past president of Waterloo Rotary club, and past commander The American Legion. Member Methodist church, B.P.O.E., American Legion, Forty and Eight, Y.M.C.A., Chamber of Commerce, and Waterloo Association of Insurance Agents. Serving first term.
