Was educated in the country and town schools, also Northwestern university. Married November 4, 1902, to Mae Warne near Villisca. Father of three daughters, Clara A., Gladys M., and Lois Marie. After marriage, spent the next six years as a farmer. For last thirty-eight years has been a Methodist pastor. Now retired, but serving two country churches at present time. Was pastor of Adair Methodist church, 1931 to 1939. Owns old homestead near Villisca. Serving fourth term.
