Randolph Fremont County Republican Born on a farm near Randolph, Fremont county, Iowa, September 8, 1889, attended the public schools in Randolph and the Metropolitan Business school in Chicago. Married Louise Fichter, December 25, 1917. They have three sons, Major Wm., Jr., of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Paul H. of Tabor, Iowa, and Kay who is a junior in high school in Randolph. Served as a lieutenant in field artillery in World War I. Has been engaged in farming since 1919. Member of American Legion. Member of the Methodist church, a thirty-second degree Mason and past grand sentinel of the Order of Eastern Star of Iowa. Serving second term.

Paul H. with Hdgs. of the United States Strategic Air Forces in Europe and Kay, who served as a page in the 51st General Assembly. Served as a Lieutenant in Field Artillery in World War I. Has been engaged in farming since 1919. Member of American Legion. Was president of the Fremont County War Dads when first organized in 1944. Member of the Methodist church, a thirty second degree Mason and Past Grand Sentinel of the Order of Eastern Star of Iowa. Serving his first term.
