Ocheyedan Osceola County Republican Born on a farm near Ocheyedan, Iowa, May 23, 1887. Son of Thomas B. and Isabelle Fletcher. Received his education in the rural school and high school of Ocheyedan. Farm owner and has spent most of his life in active farming. Married Belle Morton, June 6, 1917. Enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve Force, May 31, 1918; released from active service December 13, 1918, and honorably discharged September 30, 1921. Served as township assessor four years, township trustee six years, town assessor fourteen years and member of town council several terms. Member of the Methodist church, Masonic order, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion and Farm Bureau. Served in 45th extra, 51st and 52nd General Assemblies.
