Dubuque, Dubuque County Democrat Born in Dubuque, Iowa, October 6, 1921 son of Mrs. Mary Link Oeth and the late John Oeth. Both parents are native Dubuquers. He attended Holy Ghost parochial school, Dubuque senior high school, Doane College at Crete, Nebraska, the University of California at Los Angeles, and graduated from Drake University where he received his LL.B. degree in 1949. He is a veteran of World War II having spent 3 1/2 years with the United States Navy. On July 1, 1950 he was married to Rosemary Lolwing of Dubuque, Iowa. He is a Catholic and a member of the Holy Ghost church, Dubuque, Iowa. He is a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the American Legion, The Dubuque County Bar Assn. and the Iowa Bar Assn. He has been practicing law in Dubuque since October 1949.
