Taught school in Missouri for seven years and since September 1, 1937, he has been in the insurance business in Davenport, Iowa. Married Ethel Cassidy of Purdin, Missouri, and has two children, Franklin 19, and Dorothy 18. Member of Zerapath Consistory at Davenport, K.of P., and Kaaba Shrine. Also a member of DeMolay legion of honor and a life member of the National Phi Sigma Epsilon and Blue Key fraternities. Member of Baptist church and active in Scott county council of churches. Past president of the Scott county and first district Young Republicans and past president of Iowa Junior Chamber of Commerce. President of the Iowa Book Collectors Club. Serving fifth term.
