Fort Dodge Webster County Republican Born at Rochester, Minnesota, January 16, 1927, son of Sam and Emma Lee Peters, DeWitt, Iowa. Spent youth at DeWitt, Clinton County, Iowa. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Graduated from State University of Iowa in 1948, and University of Iowa Law School in 1951. Married Mary Lou Poorbaugh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, September 5, 1948. Now practicing law in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Delta, Congregational church, Toastmasters Club, Masonic Lodge, DeMolay, Consistory, Kaaba Shrine, and Lions Club. Serving first term.
