Lamoni Decatur County Republican Born near Wray, Colorado, July 19, 1897, to A. E. and Nancy Ann Tabor. Attended public schools of Yuma county, Colorado, and Graceland college, Lamoni, Iowa. Married Laura Lucille Curtis 1919. They have five children: Corrine Banks of Chatham, Ontario, Canada; Eugene Tabor, farming near Lamoni; Kathryn Blair, Iowa City; Nancy Ann Barritt, Little Rock, Arkansas, and James R. Tabor, stationed at Selfridge air base near Detroit, Michigan. He has been farming and raising livestock continuously for the past 35 years. Moved to Lamoni, Iowa, 1945. Active in community work having served as scoutmaster, 4-H club leader, school board member, director in local cooperatives and member of Farm Bureau. He is an ordained minister of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Served in the Colorado legislature ten years, 1936 to 1946. Serving first term.
