Cylinder Palo Alto County Republican Born February 9, 1922, in Palo Alto county near Cylinder, Iowa. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Norland. Graduated from Cylinder high school. Attended Waldorf junior college, Forest City, Iowa, and spent one summer session at Iowa State college, Ames. Was 4-H club leader, Farm Bureau director and county vice president, president of the local Community club and Athletic Association, member of Lutheran church. Engaged in farming. Serving first term.
