G. Weaver of Noble township. They have two children, a son and daughter, Dale M., age 17, a senior in Griswold high school, and Shirley V., age 9. He received the preliminary rudiments of his education in the rural schools of the township and has always been interested in the affairs of government and history. He owns and operates a farm, conducting a general farming business, and for many years has engaged in extensive hog raising and feeding operations. He has held various community and township offices and for the past ten years has been the treasurer of the Noble township mutual protection association, an insurance concern that has been in successful operation for fifty-four years. He is a charter member of Local 532 F.E. & C.U., Iowa division, and is a member of the Noble Center Evangelical church, being a member of the church board of trustees and a Sunday school teacher for several years. Serving first term in the legislature A republican.
