He has held various community and township offices and for the past ten years has been the treasurer of the Noble township mutual protection association, an insurance concern that has been in successful operation for fifty-four years. He is a charter member of Local 532 F.E. & C.U., Iowa division, and is a member of the Noble Center Evangelical church, being a member of the church board of trustees and a Sunday school teacher for several years.
