Baldwin Jackson County Republican Born in Shrewsbury, England, December 31, 1894, son of Edward and Catherine Hinchliffe. Educated in Shrewsbury public schools. Came to the United States in 1914. Enlisted in the American Army in 1917, serving two years in the air corps, a year and half spent in France. Attended Coe college, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Northwestern university. Traveled extensively in fourteen countries in Europe for three years, representing American industry. Married Olga Peters in 1929. Now farms near Baldwin, Iowa. Active in county Republican circles as treasurer and finance chairman. Member of the Baptist church and Masonic orders. Serving second term.
