Attended public schools in Davenport and graduated from St. Ambrose College in Davenport. A graduate of the law school at the University of South Dakota. Practices law at Davenport. Married Carol Selitto of Maplewood, New Jersey, a registered nurse and is the father of three children: Amy, 9, Vincent, 7, and Linda, 5. Served in the U. S. army and a member of the offices of Strategic Services for five years. Served in the International Law Department of the R. & A. branch of the U. S. Department of State in Washington, D. C. Member of Masonic lodge, Mohassan Grotto, Davenport Exchange club, Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity, Iowa State Bar Association, Scott County Bar Association and a member of the Trinity Episcopal church. Elected mayor of Davenport, 1957. Serving second term.
