Married Margaret Jedele in 1922, and have two daughters and three sons. Served two years in France and Germany in World War I. Is a 32nd degree Mason and belongs to the Shrine and Eastern Star. Is a member of the Republican county central committee and sixth district Republican farm plank council. Served two years as county Farm Bureau president, three years as commander of the Manilla American Legion post, and chairman of the Memorial building commission. Is an Elder of the Presbyterian church and an active member in many other community activities. Was Skelly award winner in 1943. Has owned and operated a 360 acre farm for 33 years and now in partnership with two sons. Serving second term.
