March 5, 1920, married Edith Hansen (deceased). Has one son, LeRoy of Berkeley, Calif., and one daughter, Mrs. Ronald St. John of Exira. He has six grandchildren, Sherrill and Beth Ann St. John, and Christine, Scott Britt, and Brian Hensley. Veteran of World War I. Has served as committeeman of Agricultural Adjustment Administration and Production Marketing Association, as director of Farm Loan Association, as director and president of Rural Electrification Association. Has also served as precinct committeeman and chairman of Democratic Central Committee. Member of Federated church at Exira. Served in 57th General Assembly. Serving second term.
