Linn County Democrat Born, Windsor, Colo., April 6, 1916. Educated in public schools at Denver, Colo., and Jolley, Iowa. Married Mary Clark of Wheatland, Iowa in 1950 and has two children, Robert F., Jr., and Katherine Anne. Served in C.B.I. Theater, as member of Mars Task Force in World War II and was attached as liaison to Chinese Nationalist Army. Received B.A. degree at University of Iowa in 1949 and J.D. degree at University of Iowa in 1951. Served as trial attorney for Federal Trade Commission, 1951 to 1953. Practicing attorney in Cedar Rapids from 1953 to date. Member of the American, Iowa State, and Linn County Bar Associations. Member of the Methodist Church.
