Secretary of Iowa Corriedale association. Methodist, Mason, Eastern Star, American Legion. Served one term as Representative from Van Buren county in 44th General Assembly. Representative from Van Buren county, was born in the county he represents in 1894. He attended the country school of Van Buren county, then graduated from the Birmingham high school. Completed his education, attending Iowa Wesleyan College, State University of Iowa, and Iowa State Teachers College. He taught school five years and did Chautauqua work during the summer. Served in France during the World war. Member of the American Legion. Engaged in business in Birmingham the past ten years. Served as mayor of Birmingham four years. Was married in 1917 to Fannie Eide of Des Moines. Two children, Virginia and David. A democrat.
