Kanawha Hancock County Democrat Born January 17, 1897, in Kanawha, Hancock county, Iowa. Graduate of the Kanawha high school. Married Mildred Hoff April 2, 1923. Belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran church and served as treasurer 12 years. Is an overseas veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, Farm Bureau and Lions Club. Worked in a Kanawha clothing store from 1916 to 1926 except while in military service, and was a rural mail carrier from 1926 to 1956. Has been a farm owner and operator since 1941. Serving first term.
