Married Violet Reedholm of Boxholm, in 1925. Has two daughters, Tressa (Mrs. Kenneth Strahorn), Algona, Iowa, and Betty (Mrs. Burton Tinken), of Humboldt, and has seven grandchildren. Owns and operates a hardware store in Humboldt. Is a member of the First Lutheran church, Masons, Shrine and Rotary Club. Served six years on Humboldt board of education, two terms as Chamber of Commerce director, one term as Vice President of the Humboldt County Chapter of the American Red Cross and was Chairman of his church Board of Trustees four years. Serving second term.
