Havelock Pocahontas County Democrat Born on a farm near Bloomfield, Iowa, March 1, 1901, son of Swiss emigrants. Attended elementary one room country school in Grove township. Graduated from Bloomfield, Iowa, high school, received Bachelor of Arts degree from Fletcher College, Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Bachelor of Divinity degree from Garrett Biblical Institute, Evanston, Illinois. Married Esther Michener August 21, 1929. Four sons, John, Bruce, Daniel, Charles, and one daughter, Virginia. Entered ministry in 1929; served as pastor in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota. Now pastor of Methodist church in Havelock and Ware. Member of Masonic Lodge. Has served lodge as Junior and Senior Steward, Junior and Senior Deacon.
